The United States Mission is pleased to announce the Hubert Humphrey scholarship program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a one-year, non-degree study and research program for young, mid-level officials with potential for career advancement and a desire to serve for the general public. Successful applicants will study for one year at one of the top universities in the United States, including professional internships, field trips, and participation in conferences and seminars in related fields. Fellows are selected based on leadership potential at the national level and commitment to community service in the public or private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n

Fields of expertise<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2023-2024 Hubert Humphrey scholarship seeks candidates working in the following fields:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Human and institutional capacity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Economic development;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Finance – Banking;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Public Administration and Public Policy;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Technology Policy and Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Rights and Freedoms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Communications and Journalism;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Law and Human Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Sustainable land resource management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Agriculture and Rural Development;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Resource management; Environmental policy; Climate Change;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Urban and Regional Planning;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Thriving community<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Public Health Policy and Management;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Education, Treatment and Prevention of Drug Abuse – Applicants in this field will be recruited and ranked the same as candidates in other fields, but must complete an additional field-specific section in their application recruitment;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Educational Planning, Management and Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission standards<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To meet the standards to apply, candidates have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Graduated from university degree or higher;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Worked at least 5 years since graduating from University, up to August 2025;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Not lived or have only lived for a short time in the U.S.;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 Served the community and have leadership ability;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u27a2 To be able to write and speak English fluently. No English score required in application. Selected candidates will be sponsored TOEFL iBT test before October 20, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ineligible candidates include:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
