Thực tiễn phát triển giáo dục không th?tách rời với hoạt động nghiên cứu. Nghiên cứu là động lực giúp gia tăng chăt lượng dạy và học ?môi trường đại học. B?môn Ngôn ng?và văn hóa Anh-M?/em> không phải là một ngoại l? Mặc dù bận rộn nhiều với công việc giảng huấn, đội ngũ giảng viên của B?môn vẫn luôn dành thời gian cho các nghiên cứu thuộc các lĩnh vực chuyên ngành mà h?quan tâm như: ngôn ng?học ứng dụngdịch thuậtngôn ng?học, và văn hóa. So với các trường đại học có b?dày v?lịch s?phát triển nghiên cứu, những khởi đầu v?nghiên cứu còn khiêm tốn của B?môn mà tuổi đời vừa kết thúc ?giai đoạn một ch?s?nbsp; ̶  bước vào tuổi th?10  ̶   đang dần tạo nên những dấu ấn qua các báo cáo tại các hội thảo và những bài báo được xuất bản trong các tạp chí nghiên cứu ?phạm vi trong nước và quốc t?

Các nghiên cứu th?hiện tính đa dạng v?đối tượng tham gia cũng như loại hình nghiên cứu được tiến hành. Nghiên cứu ?nbsp;B?môn được tiến hành không ch?bởi các cá nhân giảng viên riêng l? mà còn được thực hiện bởi các nhóm giảng viên, sinh viên và tập th?giảng viên và sinh viên. Những báo cáo của ‘thầy và trò??các hội thảo quốc t?không phải là điều hiếm thấy. Bên cạnh đó, các nghiên cứu có th?khởi đầu t?một nghiên cứu lược khảo v?lý thuyết  và các mô hình thực tiễn và m?rộng ra với các thiết k?‘nghiệm chỉnh??các loại hình nghiên cứu v?định tính và định lượng.

Với những bước đầu góp phần vào ‘vườn hoa?nghiên cứu trong nước và th?giới, đội ngũ ‘thầy và trò??nbsp;B?môn Ngôn ng?và văn hóa Anh-M?/em> đang dần th?hiện mình là những nhà nghiên cứu chuyên nghiệp với mong muốn góp phần tạo nên những kiến thức và mô hình thực hành mới trong lĩnh vực đào tạo giảng viên Ngôn ng?Anh, dịch gi? và những người có nhu cầu s?dụng Anh ng?trong môi trường công việc.

Chương trình Anh văn tổng quát

Xác định rõ nghiên cứu khoa học đóng vai trò quan trọng trong chiến lược phát triển năng lực và nâng cao chất lượng giảng dạy của giảng viên, Chương trình Anh văn tổng quát tập trung vào loại hình nghiên cứu hành động (action research) nhằm khuyến khích giảng viên tìm tòi những giải pháp sáng tạo đ?nâng cao hiệu qu?giảng dạy và triển khai áp dụng vào thực t? Đây là một quá trình mà theo đó giảng viên ch?động đ?ra các hướng nghiên cứu dựa trên hiểu biết và kinh nghiệm thực tiễn của bản thân nhằm giải quyết những vấn đ?gặp phải trong quá trình giảng dạy. Hơn nữa, định hướng nghiên cứu này cũng giúp giảng viên nâng cao năng lực chuyên môn và năng lực nghiên cứu thông qua việc phân tích lý thuyết cũng như thực tiễn và lựa chọn phương pháp tiếp cận phù hợp. Dù ch?mới khởi động trong hai năm gần đây, giảng viên của B?môn đã đạt được những kết qu?bước đầu rất đáng khích l? In June 2018, a group of lecturers of the Department of Applied Psychology participated in the Labor Research Contest organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. The Department of Applied Psychology took the exam with the research topic “The relationship between gender discrimination and job satisfaction and mental health of Vietnamese workers” chaired by Master Pham Thi Thuy Tien.

At the end of July, the Contest Organizing Committee announced the results of the research proposal round. In which, the research team of Hoa Sen University, along with four other topics, won the research proposal round and was funded to continue implementation and will be completed by the end of 2018. The proposal with the best research report will be awarded and presented at the national labor workshop co-organized by the ILO and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in 2019.

With this study, the research team wishes to provide one of the empirical evidences under the lens of psychology of gender perception in Vietnam. This will be the scientific basis for the recommendation of domestic labor relations policy in which the individual’s perspective is taken into account in addition to other traditional aspects of labor relations such as trade union rights and collective negotiation.

This result contributes to the determination of the Department of Applied Psychology and Hoa Sen University in focusing on scientific research in work and teaching.
