Throughout nine sessions with diverse topics, new students will engage with interactive teaching methods that focus on the comprehensive development of Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Critical Thinking skills, similar to English learning environments in English-speaking countries. This will allow students to enhance their English proficiency, improve communication skills, develop soft skills, and broaden their understanding through cultural exchange activities.

The English Language Program at Hoa Sen University has been training English teachers since 2008, contributing to the workforce in high demand not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also in neighboring areas. With the Politburo’s conclusion on August 12, 2024, regarding “Gradually making English the second language in schools,�?the need for high-quality English teacher training is substantial.

With a curriculum that is regularly updated to meet the demands of the labor market, in addition to fundamental specialized courses such as Learner Psychology, Language Theory, Teaching Methods, and Assessment, the distinctive courses of the English Language Program at Hoa Sen University include: Application of Technology in Teaching, Teaching English to Children, Teaching English in Various Contexts (teaching large classes, exam preparation, business English for professionals), Integrated English Teaching in Subjects (teaching Math and Science in English)

With relatively small class sizes and a teaching method that emphasizes practical experience, students get hands-on practice in lessons: preparing lesson plans, creating teaching materials, and ‘teaching�?their classmates (who role-play as students). Each teaching session is analyzed and reviewed by both the teacher and classmates to improve not only the lesson plans but also classroom management skills.

You will have the opportunity to decorate an afternoon tea table yourself. The Summer Boot Camp 2024 is a cultural experience program that provides students with the opportunity to learn more about the countries, people, and cultural activities of the UK and the US. It also helps improve English skills, make new friends, and relax during the summer. The program is organized by lecturers from the English Language Program, Faculty of English Language and International Culture, Hoa Sen University. The program consists of 4 sessions held from August 1 to September 12, on alternate Thursdays.
