Program Introduction

Hoa Sen University’s Fashion Design originated from an international cooperation with Mod’Art International Paris in 2008 to help young people with passion for fashion promote their creative thinking on digital platforms and build brands. In particular, students will learn specialized subjects in English, the curriculum, updated annually to reflect world trends, aims to enhance their professional skills and international integration.

Starting in 2020, after completing foundational fashion design coursework, students will be chosen to study according to the major that suits their work orientation and strengths: specializing in fashion design or fashion business. In which, the major in fashion business has a cooperation with Ecole Conte School of College de Paris (France).

Graduates will receive a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Hoa Sen University. Particularly for students major in fashion business, they will receive an additional certificate of completion of the Fashion Business program issued by College de Paris.

The HSU Fashion Design program provides parallel training in design thinking and prototyping to ensure that designer clothes can be modeled according to the fashion production process. Subjects are delivered through project-based learning, covering a wide range of categories including women’s, men’s, children’s, auxiliary, underwear, and high-end costumes.

Apparel design projects consistently integrate research, branding according to the identity of an existing brand or building a new brand, in line with current trends, helping students have a marketing and business mindset right in the process of forming a collection.

In particular, the fashion business major will specialize in developing fashion creative ideas with business thinking, brand management, financial and business planning ability, fashion supply chain analysis and management, store management strategy, human resource management,�?/p>

The graduation project ensures the full cycle of collection implementation from concept research, sketching, material selection, costume prototyping, building technical profiles, brand marketing profiles for the collection and being shown the graduation collection to the fashion-loving public, professionals through the annual Fashion Creation show.

• The curriculum and teaching materials are based on the curricula of the Mod’Art International Institute and the College De Paris.
• Students begin studying specialized subjects in English from the end of the second year. In particular, they can practice in France with confirmation from College de Paris.
• After graduating, students will be exempted from fashion business modules if they continue to study the Master Luxury and Fashion Management program of Ecole Conte – College de Paris.
• Create a personal collection and present it to fashion experts within the framework of defending the graduation project at the annual Fashion Creation event.
• Vietnamese and international lecturers and visiting lecturers are famous designers in the professional world and prestigious fashion companies, garment companies, and fashion magazines.
• Students have the opportunity to study at partner schools under the student exchange program signed between Hoa Sen University, College de Paris and other pedagogical partner schools.

Program Introduction

The Graphic Design program is for those who love the field of applied arts and are passionate about creativity. A graphic designer will visualize the ideas and messages of the client to help the advertising be most effective. This is an industry that integrates knowledge from many fields such as photography, illustration, typography, marketing�?/p>

At HSU, students will be equipped with a general knowledge of design, media, fine arts, commerce, new media and technologies�?Build a solid foundation between theory and practice, helping you adapt to the professional working environment. Successfully use graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AutoCAD.

Especially, with 2 cognitive and graduation internships and visits, practical experiences at companies, specialized workshops, face-to-face meetings and exchanges with leading experts in the industry to help you get acquainted and master skills right after graduation, quickly integrate into the corporate environment without having to retrain.

• The Interior Design program at HSU focuses on training students with enough creative capacity, detailed implementation of ideas and complete design of projects, application of theory and technology in the design process associated with sustainable design trends and climate change adaptation.

With the rapid advancement of the 4.0 era, the design major faces increasingly significant creative challenges. The art element no longer stops at traditional materials but adapts to innovative presentations in space, interactivity, and augmented realities like VR and AR.

The Digital Art Program was developed to align with the strategic goal of creating a technology-driven university. Students will learn the basics of painting, colors, composition, and lines, progressing to digital painting, 3D software, and visual effects. They will also explore creativity, idea development, marketing, and branding, applying these skills to animation, games, film, advertising, and illustration publications.

Digital Art applies Visual Art to digital forms to meet the creative industry’s 4.0 human resource needs. It equips students with knowledge from the basics of painting, colors, composition, and lines to digital painting, 3D software, and visual effects. Students also access concepts of creativity, idea development, marketing, and branding, applying these skills to animation, games, cinema, advertising, and illustration publications.

After studying the foundation subjects of Fashion Design at Hoa Sen University, students are guided to select a major—Fashion Design or Fashion Business—that aligns with their career goals and strengths.

Fashion Business gives students an in-depth understanding of the core business components and workings of the global fashion industry. You will be equipped with knowledge and skills to set up business models, plan marketing strategies as well as build and develop fashion brands sustainably and professionally.

This program is in collaboration with École Conte of the College de Paris �?an educational group founded in 1949, with a network of 25 member schools in 12 countries, training in many different fields: Fashion, Commerce – Business Administration, Design and Applied Arts, Environment, Hotel and Restaurant Management�?Upon graduation, students will receive a Bachelor of Fashion Design from Hoa Sen University along with a certificate of completion of the Fashion Business program issued by College de Paris.

The program is designed using Project-Based Learning. Students will plan, present ideas, discuss based on a topic consulted by the business itself.

Joint training subjects belong to the Master program Luxury and Fashion management of Ecole Conte �?College de Paris. Upon continuing with École Conte’s Master’s in Luxury and Fashion Management program after graduation, students will be exempted from these modules.. Students have the opportunity to study at a partner school under the student exchange program signed between College de Paris and HSU.
